A borrower who has mortgaged their property to secure a home loan is obliged to submit a Notice of Intimation to the Sub-Registrar's office. The Sub-Registrar is made aware that the property has been mortgaged and that the lender has a claim to it until the loan is repaid.


To safeguard the interests of both the borrower and the lender, a Notice of Intimation is necessary. It guarantees that the property won't be sold without the lender's consent and gives the lender the right to sue the borrower for loan failure.
